Danica Patrick sponsor

UPDATE #2 This rumor, first broke by AutoRacing1.com, is upgraded to 'fact' today. Andretti Green Racing announced that Motorola would sponsor Danica Patrick's No. 7 car in 2007 and beyond. Associate sponsors are XM Satellite Radio, Argent Mortgage, GoDaddy.com and Air Tran Airways. Rumor has it that the Andretti Green Racing team alone has more sponsorship than the entire Champ Car field combined.

08/09/06 As first revealed by AutoRacing1.com, and now backed up by Robin Miller's article on SPEED, Motorola has signed a very big deal with AGR for Danica Patrick. We await the formal announcement from the team.

08/08/06 Curt Cavin writes in AutoWeek that rumors in the IRL suggest Danica Patrick will get "XM Satellite radio sponsorship for her car, perhaps even with a show on its dial. Think of that: All Danica, all the time."

However, AutoRacing1.com hears that Motorola will be her primary sponsor on her Andretti Green machine and they plan on some big things with her. Motorola sponsored Michael Andretti in the past in both CART and the IRL, so they had a previous relationship, but they were not planning on coming back until they heard Danica might come to the team. They then jumped at the opportunity we are told.

Perhaps XM will be an associate sponsor on her car.
