Rahal hints at IRL departure

In this exclusive interview with AutoRacing1.com, Bobby Rahal hints that his future in IndyCar racing is in jeopardy. He insinuates that other team owners are thinking along the same lines if there isn't a merger of Champ Car and the IRL this time.

"If it [the two series] doesn't come together, as a team owner, I can't see how I can invest in something where there's no reward and a lot of risk. I don't mean physical risk, I mean financial risk.

"For the sake of open-wheel racing, and I don't think I'm the only team owner that's feeling this way, it's just way too much financial risk for way too little reward in the current scenario." Read the full interview for more.
