Monza race cancelled

The Monza Round of the 2006 Le Mans Series has been cancelled according to rumors out of Europe. The court has ordered the track to cancel a number of planned events, including the season-ending LMES race, because of protests by local neighbors over the amount of noise coming from the historic Italian circuit. Formula 1 looks to be one of the only major series able to race on the legendary track this season.
