Roadblock for Prodrive’s F1 HQ?

(GMMf1NET) Plans to build a formula one HQ in rural England could be scuppered by an opposition group.

The 'Fulcrum Prodrive Action Group' – named after former BAR boss David Richards' racing company and the proposed 'Fulcrum' factory – will lobby the Warwickshire county, located in central England, to reject planning permission for the project.

The opposition group claims that the HQ, which could house a staff of 1000, will bring chaos to village roads, while tree felling at the site could destroy the habitats of deer, owls, bats, badgers and newts.

53-year-old Richards was in Adelaide (Australia) at the weekend to oversee the progress of his Ford powered 'FPR' supercar team.
