"Right now we have a lot of new stuff on our plate to contend with," Michael Andretti said by phone from South Florida, where the IRL is holding its preseason spring training at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
"We look at all options. We're still looking at options to expand the team. Is NASCAR one of them? Maybe. But there are other areas of racing, too. If we do decide to do something, we want to do it right."
He also mentioned the two premier American road course series — Grand Am and American Le Mans — as areas of interest. Fellow IRL team owners Floyd "Chip" Ganassi and Roger Penske both field teams in NASCAR, Grand Am and ALMS.
