As Dale Earnhardt Jr. "gets ready to take his final lap" at Bristol Motor Speedway on Saturday night, the track "decided to unveil a sign at its north entrance" honoring the longtime driver. A large sign reading "It's Bristol, Baby" pays homage to an '04 race at BMS where Earnhardt "uttered his now-famous phrase."
BMS GM Jerry Caldwell said that the sign "gives race fans a new way to engage with the property."
It was designed by Bristol-based Corporate Image constructed by Kingsport-based Mycroft Signs. Visitors and passers-by "will be able to stop for selfies and photos of the new sign." HERALDCOURIER.com
