Jordan and Williams to announce their ’06 engines

UPDATE We are hearing that the Cosworth for Williams deal is almost definitely going to happen with an announcement in less than two weeks. 07/29/05 With the July 31 deadline drawing ever closer, we hear that Jordan F1 has finally got serious and come up with the money necessary to secure for the team a supply of Toyota V8 engines for 2006. After that there will be no deal because in 2007 we believe the engines will move to Williams.

It is expected that the Jordan-Toyota deal will finally be confirmed this weekend and that inevitably that will lead to the signing of a Williams deal with Cosworth for the next 12 months. The big question at the moment is not who will have which engine in 2006 but rather which will be the best engine to have. Grandprix.com
