Marco Andretti to Indy in ’07

Prior to Sunday, Andretti was only scheduled to compete in one more Pro Series race this season — the one at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in June in conjunction with the U.S. Grand Prix — but that plan will be revisited, his father said. Michael Andretti expects to give him an oval race or two this year, as well as a limited Indy-car schedule in 2006. Marco Andretti is focusing on the Star Mazda series this season. "I still think (the Indianapolis 500) in 2007 should be the goal, but we've got a lot to think about now," Michael Andretti said.
