Sadler close to signing contract extension

Elliott Sadler is finalizing a three-year contract extension with Robert Yates Racing (RYR) and his team sponsor, M&Ms, ThatsRacin.com reports. Last season, Sadler had two wins and finished ninth in points, competing in the inaugural Chase for the Nextel Cup 10-race playoff format. A RYR spokesperson, reached after Sunday’s race, said Sadler has discussed a new contract with the team and the Yates organization was pleased with his performance.
