(GMM) Whatever happened to new-for-2006 'team Dubai F1'? Ever since the October announcement, the headlines have barely uttered a word regarding the supposed project of royal family member Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al-Maktoum. McLaren and Mercedes-Benz were purportedly involved in the team. Now, Woking's chief Ron Dennis confirmed the recent legitimacy of 'team Dubai F1' by revealing that he once met with representatives of the Dubai government. The Briton, though, said 'a final decision' about the venture must be made by the middle of 2005. ''We are in constant contact (with Dubai F1),'' Ron explained.
