Tagliani to ink 3-year deal

The Toronto Sun reports that Champ Car driver Alex Tagliani has agreed to a three-year contract extension with Rocketsports Racing. "I have agreed to a three-year deal," Tagliani told the paper. "(Owner) Paul (Gentilozzi) and I worked it out in Mexico and shook hands on it." Tagliani told the Sun that a formal signing of the contract will take place once lawyers from both sides go over it. Tagliani finished with 218 points in 2004 to finish seventh in the Champ Car standings. His first series victory came at the Grand Prix of Road America in August.
