2005 the last year for Vancouver

Today's Vancouver Province newspaper reports that the 2005 Champ Car race will run on the July 22-24th weekend and that 2005 will be the last race here. They also report from "reliable sources" that Edmonton is about to finalize their agreement for the weekend preceding the Vancouver race. We are not sure how reliable their sources are because they say Calgary talks have broken off and the race is a no-go. See other rumor where the Calgary Sun makes it sound like their race will happen too. Original rumors placed that race on Labor Day weekend. One has to wonder just how many races Champ Car will run in 2005 if all these rumored races come to fruition. The TV deal announcement is still tentative for October 28th.
