Daytona Clash washed out

The Advance Auto Parts Clash at Daytona International Speedway has been delayed a day due to wet weather. Originally slated to run under the lights on Saturday night, thunderstorms and rain hammered the 2.5-mile track, forcing the race to an 11:35 a.m. ET start on Sunday.

The race will be televised on FS1, with radio coverage on MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio. It'll be a doubleheader of sorts for the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series. First, there's the 17-driver, season-opening, 75-lap non-points event. Qualifying for the Daytona 500 will follow at 3:10 p.m. ET (FS1, MRN, SiriusXM NASCAR Radio).

NASCAR officials said 20 Air Titans, 10 conventional jet dryers, two Elgin sweepers and one track vacuum were on hand to battle the wet weather, and will be available Sunday if needed.

Team Penske's Brad Keselowski and Joe Gibbs Racing's Denny Hamlin will lead the field to green starting first and second, respectively.
