Video: Townley and Gallagher Brawl After Truck Series Crash

Saturday night's NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race looked more like a Saturday night late-model race at the local dirt track, after truck series drivers Jon Wes Townley and Spencer Gallagher ended their eventful night with an on-track brawl after crashing out of the Drivin' For Linemen 200 at Gateway Motorsports Park

Following their second on-track incident of the night on lap 155, Gallagher and Townley exited their disabled trucks in turn one before Townley tackled Gallagher, sending both falling to the pavement. The two then grappled near the apron of the racetrack with Townley delivering a WWE-style takedown on Gallagher. The two then got back to their feet and exchanged a few punches before a NASCAR official finally stepped in to break up the fight.

Fox Sports 1 commentators Vince Welch and Phil Parsons scored the fight 8-2 in favor of Townley, awarding "points for the takedown".

Ten laps earlier, Gallagher appeared to get into Townley while trying to pass on the inside, sending Townley spinning into the turn one wall. Shortly after the race resumed, a seven-truck crash brought out the red flag, giving Townley a good ten minutes to sit in his truck and plan his retaliation.

Just one lap after the race went back green, Townley walled Gallagher to return the favor.

Townley and Gallgher have a history together, including a few run-ins in the ARCA series and a brawl at the end of a truck series race at Iowa Speedway in 2014.

Both drivers are likely to receive serious penalties from NASCAR early next week, although it is unlikely either will be suspended.
