Ty Dillon led the opening round of Friday's Xfinity Series practice on Friday at Daytona International Speedway leading up to Saturday's season-opening event.
Dillon turned 16 laps around the 2.5-mile oval in the no. 3 Chevrolet, logging a fast time of 192.526 mph on his eighth lap. Blake Koch was second fastest with a lap of 191.963 mph. Ty's brother Austin Dillon was third-fastest running 191.910 mph, followed by Kasey Kahne at 190.034 mph and Joey Logano at 190.002 mph.
Qualifying for the Powershares QQQ 300 Xfinity Series race is scheduled for Saturday at 3pm.
