Fans have chance to meet IndyCar champ Helio Castroneves at AAA Alabama

Three-time IndyCar champ Helio Castroneves will stop by AAA Alabama's office Thursday to sign autographs and take photos with fans.

Castroneves is scheduled to be at the office — at 2400 Acton Road — between noon and 12:45 p.m. on Thursday.

The first 100 fans to arrive at headquarters for the event will be given tickets and guaranteed an autograph.

Tickets will be given out on a first come, first served basis with a preference given to AAA members, spokesman Clay Ingram said. Tickets will not be available until Thursday morning, Ingram said.

Castroneves will drive the No. 3 AAA Insurance/Team Penske Dallara during this weekend's Honda IndyCar Grand Prix of Alabama.

Castroneves won Indianapolis 500s in 2001, 2002 and 2009. He finished second at this season's opening race in March in St. Petersburg, Fla.

In 2007, Castroneves was the winner of "Dancing with the Stars," ABC television's celebrity ballroom dancing competition.
