NBC Sports Network announces TV schedule for F1 Malaysia Grand Prix

NBC Sports Network continues its live coverage of Formula One this weekend with the Malaysia Grand Prix airing at 3:30 a.m. ET on March 24, followed by the F1 Extra post-race program at 6 a.m.

Coverage of the Malaysia Grand Prix includes live practice on March 22 at 2 a.m., and live qualifying on March 23 at 4 a.m.

There will be a change in the broadcast booth this week, as Bob Varsha will fill in for Lee Diffey, who is calling the IndyCar debut in St. Petersburg. Varsha will serve as lead announcer for this week's Formula One race. Sharing the booth with Varsha will be former driver and former Speed TV announcer David Hobbs and analyst Steve Matchett.

Diffey will return to the F1 broadcast booth for the Chinese Grand Prix on April 14. Will Buxton will serve as the team's on-site reporter from Malaysia.

Practice: 2 a.m.

March 23

Qualifying: 4 a.m.

Qualifying (re-air): 1 p.m.

March 24
