Full day for Daly with Sahara Force India

American, Conor Daly completed his first day of running in a Formula One car today after assisting Sahara Force India in completing the first of four in season aero data mapping sessions. Data mapping sessions are used to correlate wind tunnel results with actual full scale running of the race car to make sure that the wind tunnel results are accurate.

"It was more than cool for me today. I got out of the car just twice during the whole day. We got through a ton of tests and everyone seemed pleased" said Daly. "I was free to accelerate as hard as the car would go and brake as aggressively as I could. Seven gears and 18,000 revs sounded just awesome and working with things like torque maps was very enlightening."

"We have had a great day at Kemble with Conor. He completed perfectly all the tasks that we gave him and he got on well with the whole team. The program went very well" said Jakob Andreasen, Sahara Force India Senior Engineer.

Daly immediately left for Paris, France, where he will spend Friday, May 18th in pre Monaco simulator tests as he prepares for his next races on the streets of Monte Carlo. Daly who won round two of the GP3 series in Barcelona, Spain last weekend believes that his American experiences on street circuits in Star Mazda and Indy Lights will help him on the streets of the principality. Daly lies second in the GP3 series just two points behind new Zealander, Mitch Evans.
