TV ratings for NASCAR truck series remain low

According to Nielsen Media Research, the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series on SPEED posted its fourth-consecutive year-to-year ratings increase last Saturday at Kentucky Speedway. The event scored a 0.56, up four-percent over last year’s equivalent-week Las Vegas race (0.54), but both are equivalent to some Infomercials, so nothing to brag about really.

The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series on SPEED is pacing up five percent overall versus last year at this point and up one percent over SPEED’s record-setting 2009 season when compared with equivalent dates.

With five races remaining in the 2011 season, the Truck Series takes a weekend off before heading to Las Vegas Motor Speedway for the Oct. 15 race. SPEED provides live coverage beginning at 3 p.m. ET with NCWTS Setup with Krista Voda, followed by live race coverage at 3:30 p.m. ET.
