Indiana license plate to aid Stewart’s foundation

Indiana motorists will have the opportunity next year to purchase specialty license plates benefiting the charity of NASCAR driver Tony Stewart and soccer programs, among other causes. The Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles approved 10 new plates Tuesday for 2012, bringing to 99 the number offered by the state. The plates cost $40, with $25 going to the plate's cause. The Indianapolis-based Tony Stewart Foundation's plate will fund grants to Indiana nonprofit groups. Other sports-themed plates are sponsored by Ducks Unlimited for wetland conservation and Indiana Soccer. Indianapolis Star
