Superleague Formula to go to Wales

Chris van der Drift will take to the streets in Wales this weekend for the Superleague Formula when he demos the Liverpool FC car in Cardiff. His run across the Cardiff Bay Barrage is set to be a highlight of the World Rally Championship street show, the 750bhp, V12-powered single seater blasting from the Penarth end to the Port and back on Saturday evening.

van der Drift was a challenger for this season’s title until suffering a massive accident at Brands Hatch on August 1.

While his Olympiacos club went on to finish fourth in the standings with the help of Ben Hanley and Neel Jani, the Kiwi was sidelined for half the year before returning from injury for the final round in Spain. SF has done a number of urban demos this season, with similar ones in Assen, Liverpool and Portimao.
