Schu to be at Monza – spokeswoman

(GMM) Michael Schumacher will attend Ferrari's home race at Monza next weekend.

The 40-year-old German was trackside to support Luca Badoer at Valencia last month, but he then skipped the Spa-Francorchamps weekend in order to go karting in Germany.

It was rumored that he might be at Hockenheim for the German Superbike event next weekend, but spokeswoman Sabine Kehm has confirmed that Schumacher will be at Monza.

"Michael will not go to Hockenheim. He is scheduled to go to Monza," she told the Cologne publication Express.

The Italian grand prix is traditionally the scene of important Ferrari announcements. This year, the Maranello team is expected to confirm a new sponsor in the form of the Spanish bank Santander.
