41,000 people working on Abu Dhabi circuit

On the impressive Ferrari motorhome's roof we find the terrace of Aldar, the company from the Arab Emirates, which is planning the extraordinary Ferrari World Abu Dhabi Theme Park on Yas Island. Sunday morning in Budapest we met Aldar's CEO John Bullough on the terrace to ask him a couple of questions about how the works are going at the Ferrari Theme Park, which will be inaugurated in a year's time.

John Bullough told us that "the works are at a good point. The structure is now virtually complete, we're starting with the works of the logo on the roof, the biggest Ferrari logo ever built in the world, like the biggest indoor theme park, you'll see in a year."

What about the experiences one can make in this immense space? "It will be an absolutely unique experience. Completely in the spirit of Ferrari, from the owners to the fans, from the kids to the adults, for the families, from road cars to Formula 1 and racing cars. We'll have two roller coasters, one, the fastest in the world, dedicated to F1, and another one with two competing GT cars.

How many people are working on this project at the moment? "41,000 people 24/7 in two shifts in total on Yas Island. The Ferrari World Abu Dhabi roof will be ready in four weeks and for the Grand Prix we'll have some tours for journalists and VIP’s so they can see the works and the entire structure. As far as the circuit is concerned we're planning around 300 days of activities there, apart from the Grand Prix, which will be the principal."

It's absolutely impossible not to start dreaming while watching the photos and the rendering, imagining what an incredible structure it will be, reflecting the passion for the Prancing Horse. Ferrari PR
