Stewart, Newman, Earnhardt To Visit IMS This Week

NASCAR Sprint Cup Series superstars Tony Stewart, Ryan Newman and Dale Earnhardt Jr. will meet with media on two days this week at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway as preparations continue for the 16th Allstate 400 at the Brickyard on July 24-26.

Stewart-Haas Racing teammates and Indiana natives Stewart and Newman are coming to IMS on Wednesday, July 8, while Hendrick Motorsports driver Earnhardt will be at IMS on Thursday, July 9.

Two-time Allstate 400 at the Brickyard winner Stewart and Newman will participate in a question-and-answer session with the media from 10:15-11 a.m. (ET) Wednesday in the Economaki Press Conference Room at the IMS Media Center.

On Thursday, 2005 Indianapolis 500 winner Dan Wheldon will take Earnhardt for a ride around the IMS oval in the National Guard two-seat IndyCar at 11 a.m., with interviews and photo opportunities to follow.

Earnhardt, a racing history enthusiast, then will drive around the IMS oval in the No. 16 Noc-Out Hose Clamp Special that Mauri Rose and Floyd Davis co-drove to victory in the 1941 Indianapolis 500. Earnhardt will participate in a question-and-answer session with the media from noon-12:25 p.m. in the Economaki Press Conference Room.
