Axed Petty would like to find Cup ride

Kyle Petty's, who was axed from the team owned by his father Richard Petty, plans for the 2009 season include driving in some Grand American races and continuing his television work. He also would like to obtain a Cup ride, but he knows that his efforts could be harmed by the economic downturn (and the fact he isn't the best driver in the paddock by a wide margin).
