Joe Craven Appointed USTCC Race Director

Richmond, CA – Series officials today announced that Joe Craven has been appointed the Race Director for the United States Touring Car Championship (USTCC) series. Mr. Craven’s job will include items such as coordinating the West coast events, being the liaison with the host, carrying out event activities, overseeing the tech staff, and general rules enforcement.

Craven brings more than 20 years of experience in management and 10 years of experience racing in club racing. His background is diverse with years of computers and mechanical engineering experience. “We are very excited to have Joe on board with us. He brings a wealth of experience to USTCC that will help grow the series. Joe is extremely intelligent and has terrific engineering skills," said Ali Arsham, USTCC Coordinator.

“It is very exciting to be a part of the USTCC. I have followed the series for many years and there are many things that I love about the series. I hope to be able to make the series run smoother at the events" said Craven.

Craven resides in California with his family. He graduated from University of California, Berkeley with a Mechanical Engineering degree. He will be reporting to Dave Balingit who will continue to be the Chief Steward
