Checa asks Honda for more power

Carlos Checa concluded the final pre-season test at Jerez on Sunday by asking Honda for more HP.

"We must find a solution for the engine because I need more power especially on fast tracks such as Qatar, Istanbul and Shanghai," said the Spanish veteran. "Honestly, we did a great job during the winter to adapt to this new machine but I could go faster and hope that HRC can help me somehow."

Checa, a privateer Honda rider for the LCR team, was referring to new parts rumored to already be available for factory Honda riders Nicky Hayden and Dani Pedrosa.
