Who will replace Ambrose on Petty team?

If Marcos Ambrose does duck out of NASCAR after 2014, who would drive the No. 9 Ford for RPM come 2015?

As long as RPM has sponsorship, there's no chance that they’d shut down the team, but they don’t have anyone in the queue either that’s ready for Sprint Cup. Nationwide Series rookie driver Dakota Armstrong is still miles away before he’s ready for the premier series, if ever.

So it's likely, the Ford-powered team would have to look outside their organization should Ambrose vacate the No. 9 seat.

Another out there choice is the current No. 5 driver. Kasey Kahne is in his final year of his first contract with Hendrick Motorsports. If he weren't to get a contract renewal, could he end up back with RPM, where he first raced with back in 2010?
