Quartararo comes back from crash to take pole at Aragon

Fabio Quartararo brushed off the pain from his FP3 high-side crash to storm to a fourth MotoGP pole of the year in Aragon.

The Frenchman hurt his left leg and hip that forced him to limp heavily around the garage between runs.

Quartararo put up a lap of a 1m47.076secs late in Q2 that just beat Maverick Vinales. So up at the front, Quartararo will be joined on the front row by Vinales, the Yamaha rider no doubt pleased to be up towards the front again, and Cal Crutchlow – his third front row since COTA 2019.

Franco Morbidelli was 4th on his Yamaha ahead of Jack Miller.

Title contender Joan Mir was sixth, the Spaniard – only 10 points behind Quartararo in the standings.
