40 laps, 1/5th of the race, was led by the pace car under caution as the Daytona 500, like it always does, sent a lot of wrecked race cars home ready for the scrap heap.

But the best news is we had a surprise win for one of the nicest drivers in the paddock – Michael McDowell.
