MotoGP: Zarco tops Friday practice times in Barcelona
Frenchman Johann Zarco (pictured above) turned a lap of 1m39.235s on his #5 Ducati to lead the MotoGP Friday practice times in Barcelona. Pretty much every rider went out in FP2 and bettered their FP1 times straight away.
Italian Franco Morbidelli was 2nd quick ahead of his Yamaha teammate, and current points leader, Fabio Quartararo.
But it was Morbidelli who arguably looked the fastest – ahead of Quartararo, M. Marquez and Vinales – before every strapped on the soft rubber to test their qualifying setup, then finishing second only to Zarco on his ‘soft’ run.
The top-3 were within 0.17s of each other.
Brad Binder and Francesco Bagnaia rounded out the top-5.
