MotoGP: Nakagami sets the pace for Honda in Practice 1
CR Honda’s Takaaki Nakagami dominated opening practice for the MotoGP Italian Grand Prix at Mugello.
The Japanese rider was already fastest in a top four covered by just 0.031 seconds when he bolted on new medium compound Michelin slick tires, front and rear. It was then that a late flying lap yielded a time of 1:46.662 around the Autodromo Internazionale del Mugello for number 30.
Ducati Lenovo Team’s Francesco Bagnaia and Aleix Espargaro (Aprilia Racing) were 2nd and 3rd with exact times – a 1m47.070s
