MotoGP News: Bezzecchi and Acosta top Practice 1 at Mugello

Aprilia’s Marco Bezzecchi (pictured) and KTM’s Pedro Acosta finished Practice 1 for the 2025 Italian MotoGP tied at the top of the timesheets at Mugello.

Bezzecchi set his time before Acosta, so is listed as first.

Brad Binder was third, 0.053s behind Bezzecchi and Acosta.

Points leader Marc Marquez was the leading Ducati in fourth on used tires, 0.094s behind Bezzecchi and Acosta.

Francesco Bagnaia, unbeaten at Mugello since 2021, set the early pace, before countryman Bezzecchi and Yamaha’s 2021 winner Fabio Quartararo moved ahead. He finished down in 8th, 0.452s behind Bezzecchi and Acosta.

Fabio Di Giannantonio rounded out the top-5, 0.387s behind Bezzecchi and Acosta.
