July 18, 2025

Good morning from Toronto, Canada, where the NTT INDYCAR Series will race round 13  this weekend.  Temperatures will be pleasant today, in the low 70s with no chance of precipitation.

The 11-turn, 1.786-mile race track is renowned for incidents involving multiple cars on its tight, twisty course.   The pit lane is unique in that it is ‘S’ shaped, making pit stops tricky during the 90-lap race.

Colton Herta, driver of the No. 26 Gainbridge Andretti Global Honda, won this race last year, and his teammate, Kyle Kirkwood, finished in second place.

Kirkwood talked with the media about the race this weekend.

“Obviously, street courses are our forté. We’re really good at Long Beach, St. Pete, Detroit, Toronto, all those street courses. But Toronto, for some reason, has that little bit more for us.”

“Right now, fingers crossed, the weather’s looking good. That’s what we need. We need good weather, good conditions. Hopefully we’ll have a nice, clean weekend.”

Linus Lundqvist, 2022 INDY NXT by Firestone champion, was on reserve to drive if Arrow McLaren’s Nolan Siegel was not cleared to race this Sunday.  Seigel has been cleared to race this weekend, so Lundqvist will be watching from the sidelines.

Here is the schedule for today in ET.
