IndyCar News: Friday Morning Report from WeatherTech Raceway

Good morning from the scenic hills of Monterey, California, and the renowned WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca for Round  13 of the NTT INDYCAR Series.  The Friends of Laguna Seca now runs the track with a mission to restore and modernize the iconic track for the next 55 years.

The IndyCars will practice at 2:00 pm PT this afternoon.

The weather this morning was a bit damp as the fog hovered over the Monterey Bay area.  Temperatures are predicted to reach the mid-60s this afternoon, with sun and some clouds expected.

The Java House Grand Prix of Monterey will be 95 laps on the 11-turn, 2.238-mile permanent road course run this Sunday.  The famous corkscrew (pictured above) is located in Turn 8 and is a blind corner.

The INDY NXT by Firestone will have a double header this weekend here.  The developmental series of INDYCAR will race on Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning.
