NASCAR News: Bubba Wallace outduels Kyle Larson in Brickyard 400

Bubba Wallace (pictured) outdueled Kyle Larson through two late restarts to win the 2025 NASCAR Cup Brickyard 400 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

The 23XI Toyota was just too fast for Larson and his #5 Hendrick Chevy who came up 0.222s short.

After losing control and crashing out of the Indy 500 two years in a row at the Indy Speedway, Larson was hoping to repair his tarnished image in the Brickyard 400, but it was not to be.

Denny Hamlin brought the #11 JGR Toyota home in third, 1.2s behind Wallace.

Ryan Preece came home 4th in his #60 Ford, 2.9s behind after the green-white-checkered finish.

Brad Keselowski rounded out the top-5 in his #6 Ford, 3.9s behind Wallace, who took his third career NASCAr Cup victory.

Ty Gibbs finished 21st, seven positions ahead of Ty Dillon, to claim the $1 million prize in the final round of the inaugural In-Season Challenge tournament.

The race was halted by a brief rain shower with four laps left in the originally scheduled 160-lap distance. That stoppage erased a lead of multiple seconds for Wallace, pushing the event into overtime.
