IndyCar News: Newgarden Fastest in Practice 1 at Milwaukee
Team Penske’s Josef Newgarden was the fastest in the NTT INDYCAR Series Practice 1 with a time of 22.6864s.
The Series Champion, Alex Palou, was second fastest with a time of 22.7601s.
Juncos Hollinger’s Conor Daly was third fastest with a time of 22.7754s.
Dale Coyne Racing’s Rinus VeeKay was fourth fastest with a time of 22.8004s.
Andretti Global’s Marcus Ericsson was fifth fastest with a time of 22.8252s.
Tires were an issue this morning because the drivers are allowed ten sets of primary tires for the entire weekend. Will Power stopped early to save some tires for qualifying and the final practice today.
