IndyCar News: O’Ward Tops Practice 1 in Nashville

Pato O’Ward (pictured) posted the fastest time of the session this morning with a lap of 23.6612s around the fast Nashville Superspeedway.

The Mexican driver did not use any of the alternate tires that are available for this race.

Andretti Global’s Kyie Kirkwood posted the second fastest time with a lap of 23.7059s.

Arrow McLaren’s Christian Lundgaard posted the third fastest lap of 23.7447s.

Teammate to Kirkwood, Colton Herta, posted the fourth fastest time, 23.7473s.

Chip Ganassi’s Scott Dixon was fifth fastest with a lap of 23.7478s.

Alex Palou caused a yellow flag during the session after spinning on track between Turns 1 and 2 and skidding through the grass and not making any contact.  Palou was given a five minute penalty for causing a yellow.
