Formula 1 News: Red Bull’s Pit Wall Meets Wall Street with Carlyle Deal
Oracle Red Bull Racing has forged a groundbreaking partnership with Carlyle, one of the world’s leading global investment firms, marking a first for Formula 1 as no global investment firm has previously partnered with an F1 team.
The multi-year sponsorship deal, with financial terms undisclosed, establishes Carlyle as Oracle Red Bull Racing’s exclusive partner in the investment management industry.
As of June, Carlyle managed $465 billion in assets and employs over 2,300 people across 27 offices on four continents. The partnership will showcase Carlyle’s branding on the Oracle Red Bull Racing RB21, driven by Max Verstappen and Yuki Tsunoda, starting at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix in Baku on September 21, 2025. Carlyle’s logo will also appear on the car chassis, drivers’ kits, pit wall, and garage environment throughout the F1 season, leveraging the sport’s global platform to connect with clients, partners, and communities worldwide.

Laurent Mekies, CEO and Team Principal of Oracle Red Bull Racing, expressed enthusiasm: “We’re thrilled to welcome Carlyle to our team. Both organizations share a commitment to world-class talent, bold innovation, and peak performance. Carlyle’s iconic status in global finance, with its expansive network and long-term vision, aligns perfectly with our ambitions. We look forward to a dynamic partnership on and off the track, driven by the precision and focus that define Formula 1.”
Harvey Schwartz, CEO of Carlyle, added: “Our industry is transforming, with private markets opening to a new generation of investors. Similarly, Oracle Red Bull Racing is expanding Formula 1’s global reach. This partnership unites two high-performing teams fueled by innovation and excellence. We’re excited to collaborate with one of the most iconic brands in global sports to engage new audiences and create lasting value.”
This strategic alliance positions both brands to capitalize on F1’s growing audience and Carlyle’s financial expertise, promising a powerful synergy in the seasons ahead.
