Track News: Grand Prix Plaza In Las Vegas To Reopen With Big Upgrades
Grand Prix Plaza – North America’s largest and most dynamic Formula 1 attraction – will officially reopen in Las Vegas, Jan. 30, 2026. Located at the home of the FORMULA 1 HEINEKEN LAS VEGAS GRAND PRIX, the 39-acre, multi-use complex will welcome racing fans back to the heart of Formula 1 excitement with a new track layout for the F1® DRIVE karting experience; an upgraded F1® X 4D theater; additional event spaces; and more.
“Grand Prix Plaza embodies the innovation and energy that defines Formula 1 in Las Vegas,” said Emily Prazer, President and CEO of Las Vegas Grand Prix, Inc. and Grand Prix Plaza. “From day one, it’s been a celebration of speed, technology and fan engagement, appealing to both longtime fans of the sport or guests who are just learning about it. As we approach its second season of operation, we’re unveiling new experiences that take that vision even further, allowing us to find new and exciting ways to partner with the local Las Vegas community.”
Below is a look into what’s new and returning at Grand Prix Plaza in 2026:
- Upgraded F1® X 4D Theater: The F1® X 4D Theater has been upgraded with next-generation immersion technology. Powered by Liminal Space’s proprietary “Ghost Tile” stereoscopic LEDs, holographic visuals will appear to float in real space around the audience. Combined with advanced motion seats, atmospheric surround sound and seamless integration of physical effects, this upgraded theater will transport guests directly into the heart of a Formula 1 race. With Liminal Space’s ability to blend real-world action and virtual imagery, every lap, pit stop and checkered flag moment will become a visceral, multi-sensory activity.
- Updated F1® DRIVE Track Layout: Grand Prix Plaza’s signature F1® DRIVE karting is racing into 2026 with a completely reimagined track layout. With a wider track, the design will give more opportunities for drivers to test their skills behind the wheel of cutting-edge electric karts modeled after real Formula 1 vehicles and allow for more overtakes. The refreshed course offers a thrilling, authentic experience for racers of all levels – from first timers to seasoned competitors.
- New Private Event Spaces: Grand Prix Plaza will expand its group offerings with new, intimate private event spaces perfect for smaller celebrations. Designed to accommodate groups of 10, these sleek lounges and party suites provide the ultimate venue for birthdays, bachelor and bachelorette parties and team celebrations.
- All Things F1® at F1® HUB: The F1® HUB is the heart of Grand Prix Plaza and houses F1® SIMS, a flagship F1 store and F1® HUB Lounge. Guests can get behind the wheel at F1® SIMS, where advanced motion technology and immersive effects create a true-to-life Formula 1® racing experience. The flagship F1® store features the largest selection of official Formula 1® merchandise in the U.S. Just next door, the F1® HUB Lounge serves delicious bites and cocktails and is a space to watch Formula 1 content on surrounding screens in a relaxed atmosphere.
To celebrate the reopening, Grand Prix Plaza will launch the “Ultimate Grand Prix Plaza Package” promotion, offering fans a chance to win two tickets to F1® X, F1® SIMS and F1® DRIVE (including the Grand Prix DRIVE package), plus a $250 merchandise credit and a $200 food and beverage credit.
