Supercar News: Supercars, Penrite extend partnership amid 100-year celebrations
Supercars has announced a multi-year extension with Penrite, which will see the Australian oil and lubricant manufacturer continue as the Official Oil of Supercars and naming rights partner of the Sandown 500 through at least 2027.
The extension coincides with Penrite’s 100-year celebration, which kicked off in style last month as Penrite-backed Grove Racing won the 2025 Repco Bathurst 1000 with Matt Payne and Garth Tander.
First joining the championship as an event partner of the Bathurst 1000 in 2017, the extended agreement will see Penrite’s partnership with Supercars eclipse a decade and counting.
The partnership will see Penrite take on a larger presence across five marquee Supercars events, serving as the exclusive event oil partner of the Sydney 500, Perth Super 440, Repco Bathurst 1000, Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500, and Penrite Oil Sandown 500.
The announcement comes as Penrite marks its centenary in 2026 — a celebration of 100 years of Australian-made performance, heritage and trust, and an unwavering commitment to innovation.
Supercars Chief Executive James Warburton said the partnership’s growth reflects Penrite’s integral role in Australian motorsport.

“Penrite has been a key supporter of Supercars for many years, and we’re incredibly proud to expand this partnership as they celebrate their 100-year milestone,” Warburton said.
“We are thrilled to continue our relationship with a proudly Australian company in our proudly Australian sport, and look forward to welcoming Penrite’s presence across our biggest events, delivering even greater value for fans and the wider sport.”
Penrite CEO Toby Dymond said the expanded agreement was a defining moment for the brand as it marks a century of performance.
“As we celebrate 100 years of Penrite, expanding our partnership with Supercars is the perfect way to honor our heritage while continuing to drive forward,” Dymond said.
“Supercars fans—from trade professionals to performance enthusiasts and everyday drivers—appreciate quality and Australian-made products. This partnership allows us to engage with them on an even bigger scale at the most iconic moments in the season.”
Racing at the 2025 Penrite Oil begins today with the first of two 250-kilometer races scheduled this weekend.
The event is the penultimate round of the first-ever Supercars Finals series, which will see the top seven Finalists cut down to four ahead of the bp Adelaide Grand Final at the end of the month.
