Nicki is an authority on how groundbreaking racetrack technology is driving innovation in today’s road cars.

Nicki’s role as the lead anchor of the Formula E coverage is the latest in a long list of historic milestones in her career. Albie’s deep expertise in electric vehicle engineering and high-level race strategy will provide fans with an unparalleled, technical perspective on the championship’s cutting-edge innovation and on-track action.

Bolstering the broadcast lineup will be a whole host of familiar faces returning for Season 12, including former professional racing driver Billy Monger, GEN4 Test Driver James Rossiter, former F1 drivers David Coulthard and Karun Chandhok, rally driver Catie Munnings, former Formula E Driver André Lotterer, former Formula E Team Principal Allan McNish along with 3-time W Series champion and Genesis Magma Racing driver Jamie Chadwick. Additions to the team include pitlane reporters Alexa Rendell and Georgia Henneberry, plus commentators Tom Brooks and Ryan Myrehn.

Jeff Dodds, CEO of Formula E, said:

“We are thrilled to announce our broadcast lineup for Season 12, led once again by Nicki Shields. The blend of seasoned experts like David Coulthard and Karun Chandhok, alongside fresh perspectives from 12-time E-Prix winner Sam Bird and Strategist Albert Lau, creates a truly world-class team. This group will bring our fans closer to the action and innovation of Formula E than ever before as we kick off another record-breaking season in São Paulo.”

Sam Bird, 12-time Formula E Race winner, said:

“I’m pleased to be joining the Formula E broadcast presenting lineup for Season 12. Having been part of the championship since Season 1, I’ve seen the series evolve from its very first laps, and I can’t wait to bring that experience into the commentary box. I’ve raced against many of these drivers, I understand how they think, and I hope I can offer fans some real insight into what’s going on inside the cockpit during the most intense moments.”

Nicki Shields, Formula E Lead Presenter, said:

“I’m delighted to be back for Season 12 and to be continuing my role as lead presenter. Having been part of the Formula E family since Season 1, it’s been incredible to watch this championship grow and evolve, and it’s a privilege to continue telling its story. As we head to São Paulo, it’s all to play for, and I can’t wait to bring my experience, energy and passion to another fantastic season of Formula E.”
