Formula 1 News: Willi Weber tied up and robbed in Stuttgart villa

(GMM) Michael Schumacher’s former manager Willi Weber (pictured) has been tied up and robbed in a violent break-in at his Stuttgart home.

Stuttgarter Zeitung reports that three masked intruders entered the 83-year-old’s villa on Tuesday night while Weber, his wife and his housekeeper were inside.

All three were overpowered and bound while the burglars broke open several safes and escaped with cash and jewelry worth “several hundred thousand euros”.

Weber told Bild: “I have a black eye, the detectives are here talking to me. I feel terrible. I’m in complete shock.”

One of the victims managed to free themselves after about an hour and alert the police. The perpetrators have not yet been found.

Weber, who managed Schumacher through his entire rise to F1 and also represented Ralf Schumacher and other high-profile athletes, has been preparing to sell the property after recent health issues.
