NASCAR News: Cook Out Clash at Bowman Gray Stadium announced
See the above infographic detailing the format for the Cook Out Clash at Bowman Gray Stadium, scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 1 at 8 p.m. ET (FOX, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio).
The format for the preseason classic mirrors last year’s format for the inaugural event at the historic short track.
On Saturday evening, there will be four 25-lap Heat races, with the top-five finishers in each Heat advancing to the Clash. Those cars not advancing will compete in Sunday’s 75-lap Last Chance Qualifier, with the top-two finishers advancing to the Clash.
The main event Clash will be a 200-lap race featuring 23 cars – 20 from the Heats; 2 from the LCQ; 1 provisional for the highest finishing driver in 2025 points who has not already transferred into the event.
