IndyCar News: PNC Bank, Chip Ganassi Racing Unveil same old livery for Scott Dixon
PNC Bank and Chip Ganassi Racing have unveiled the 2026 livery for the No. 9 Honda driven by six-time NTT INDYCAR SERIES champion Scott Dixon. There are no design changes to note. That means Dixon and the No. 9 team can focus on the details that make them brilliant as they chase more wins, a second Indianapolis 500 win and a seventh INDYCAR championship in 2026.

The “brilliantly boring” news is by design, a nod to PNC’s brand. It means being smart, steady, dedicated, and reliable — all the things you want in a bank. Dixon’s brilliant career is defined by his commitment to perfecting all of the meticulous details and activities that go into racing, like time spent in the gym, data analysis, simulator work, fuel saving and more. His determination to look for every advantage, even in the small details, has made him one of the greatest drivers in motorsports history.
Already the record holder for most podiums, starts and consecutive starts, Dixon’s 59 career wins and six championships trail only A.J. Foyt (67 wins and 7 championships) for most all-time. This will be his 25th year competing with Chip Ganassi Racing in INDYCAR and 26th overall.

- Banking on Success: Longtime partner PNC Bank became a primary sponsor of the No. 9 Honda driven by Dixon in 2018. Since then, Dixon has scored two championships, 18 race wins and 49 podiums with the Pittsburgh-based bank.
- Community Support: PNC Bank is driven to support the next generation through PNC Grow Up Great®, its signature philanthropic initiative focused on improving high-quality early childhood education across the country. Dixon will again appear at early childhood education centers to demonstrate the importance of reading to inspire a love of learning.
- #BankOnThe9: Dixon continued his record of consecutive seasons with a victory in 2025, winning at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course to increase the streak to 21 years. Consistently at the front of the field, he finished third in the championship standings. Dixon has finished top-6 in the INDYCAR championship standings for 20 consecutive seasons, finishing in the top-3 15 times during that stretch.
Scott Dixon, Driver, No. 9 PNC Bank Honda, Chip Ganassi Racing: “I’m very excited for 2026 with the No. 9 PNC Bank Honda team. We had a big deep dive into the data this offseason. There were lots of positives, and we found some things we could have executed a little bit better on. For us, it’s all in the details. As a team, we’ve got to keep the momentum going, and I think this year should be big for all of us at Chip Ganassi Racing.”
