Formula 1 News: Ford joins the Spanish GP at Madrid as Local Event Supporter
The Formula 1 Spanish Grand Prix today announced Ford as its Local Event Supporter, marking a partnership in a particularly significant year defined by Ford’s return to Formula 1 and Madrid’s comeback to the Formula 1 calendar, the pinnacle of world motorsport.
As part of the agreement, Ford will provide a fleet of vehicles to cover the event’s operational and mobility needs throughout the year.

The vehicles were officially handed over by Jesús Alonso, President and CEO of Ford Iberia, during a formal event held near the tunnel that will connect the two sections of the MADRING circuit, divided by the M11. The fleet will support the logistics of IFEMA MADRID, and in particular those of the Formula 1 Spanish Grand Prix. During the event, Jesús Alonso stated:
“For Ford, being part of Formula 1’s return to Madrid is an extraordinary milestone that coincides with our own return to the pinnacle of motorsport alongside Red Bull Ford Powertrains. This partnership is also the best showcase for our transformation towards electrification: the fleet of vehicles we are delivering today is 100% electric, reaffirming our commitment to zero-emissions mobility. We want to demonstrate that innovation, high performance and sustainability are the driving forces that will power the Spanish Grand Prix at MADRING.”
For his part, José Vicente de los Mozos, Vice-President of the Executive Committee of IFEMA MADRID, highlighted that Ford’s extensive range and experience in professional fleets position the brand as the ideal partner to meet the logistical, operational and organisational needs of the Grand Prix:
“It is almost a natural partnership between a brand so closely linked to Formula 1 as Ford…”
Ford will also enjoy a strong on-site presence throughout the Grand Prix, with official activations, proprietary content and brand experiences for fans across various areas of the circuit.
The agreement with the Formula 1 Spanish Grand Prix for 2026 positions Ford as a strategic mobility partner, underpinned by a long-term vision focused on innovation, technology and expertise in major international events.
