IndyCar News: Racing Force Group and FOX Sports expand Driver’s Eye integration
Ronco Scrivia, Italy—Racing Force Group has signed a multi-year agreement with FOX Sports that will make its groundbreaking Driver’s Eye™ helmet camera (pictured) a regular part of NTT INDYCAR SERIES television broadcasts starting with the 2026 season.
After debuting to strong viewer reaction at selected rounds in 2025—including the Indianapolis 500—the tiny camera will now appear in every race, giving fans a live, first-person view from inside the cockpit of the world’s fastest open-wheel drivers.
“We are thrilled to continue our collaboration with FOX Sports to integrate Driver’s Eye™ into the television coverage of the NTT INDYCAR SERIES,” said Alex Haristos, Chief Operating Officer of Racing Force Group. “Following the excitement generated during selected events in the 2025 season, including the Indianapolis 500, it’s fantastic to extend the Driver’s Eye™ presence to every round. Our goal is to make the viewing experience even more engaging and immersive for fans thanks to this leading-edge technology.”
Developed and patented by Zeronoise, Racing Force Group’s electronics division, Driver’s Eye™ is the world’s smallest micro-camera built specifically for live motorsport broadcasting. The FIA-homologated unit measures just 9 × 9 millimeters and weighs a mere 1.43 grams. It is mounted inside the driver’s helmet to deliver a true driver’s-point-of-view shot throughout the race.
The technology made its INDYCAR debut at the 2025 Grand Prix of Long Beach, where it was fitted in the helmet of race winner Kyle Kirkwood and provided dramatic live footage from the cockpit. It was also featured during the Indianapolis 500 later that season.
The 2026 NTT INDYCAR SERIES opens on Sunday, March 1 with the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg and consists of 18 races, highlighted by the 110th Running of the Indianapolis 500 on May 24.
