IndyCar News: SOLO Cup renews with Chip Ganassi Racing
The party is officially back on the grid. SOLO®, the iconic “Official Sign of Good Times,” and Chip Ganassi Racing announced today they have renewed their partnership for the entire 18-race 2026 NTT INDYCAR SERIES season.
The fan-favorite red cup returns as an associate sponsor on the No. 10 Honda driven by four-time series champion and reigning Indianapolis 500 winner Alex Palou. The collaboration builds directly on last year’s successful debut, when SOLO joined Chip Ganassi Racing for the Grand Prix at Road America. Palou delivered a dominant victory in the No. 10 SOLO Cup Honda, then celebrated in unforgettable fashion—singing Toby Keith’s “I Love This Bar” over the radio on his victory lap and hoisting the winner’s trophy with champagne poured into the classic red SOLO cup from the top step of the podium.
The 2026 renewal comes on the heels of an extraordinary 2025 season for Chip Ganassi Racing. Palou won eight races and clinched his third consecutive INDYCAR championship with two races still remaining, cementing one of the most dominant campaigns in modern series history.
“We’re excited to have SOLO back with Chip Ganassi Racing for the 2026 season,” said team owner Chip Ganassi. “We had success together last year, including a win at Road America, and just as importantly, we had a lot of fun working together. SOLO is a fun brand that also understands performance and teamwork, and we’re looking forward to building on that momentum throughout the entire season.”
Palou echoed the excitement: “It’s really cool to have SOLO back with the team for the 2026 season, especially after winning together last year at Road America. That weekend was a lot of fun, and it made the partnership even more special. I really enjoyed working with their brand, and I’m excited to do it again all season long as we go after more wins.”
SOLO is planning an expanded fan experience in 2026. The brand will host interactive, fan-focused activations at select INDYCAR races, bringing the party atmosphere directly to paddock guests and race fans across the country. Chip Ganassi Racing will also continue its popular SOLO-themed social media series, featuring creative games and challenges that let fans compete from home for the ultimate prize: a custom “golden” SOLO Cup.
2026 also marks a major milestone for SOLO itself—the 50th anniversary of the legendary party cup. Now a beloved brand under Dart Container, SOLO remains the go-to choice for backyard BBQs, tailgates, campgrounds, and racetrack celebrations alike.
“SOLO is thrilled to join Chip Ganassi Racing for the 2026 INDYCAR season,” said Kimberly Healy, Senior Vice President of the SOLO brand. “CGR and SOLO share the honor of having extremely loyal fans, and we’re excited to bring the SOLO fun vibes to the party, from backyard BBQs and campgrounds to the racetrack.”
With the full-season partnership locked in, the red SOLO cup will be a prominent fixture on Palou’s No. 10 machine throughout 2026 as the team chases more wins, more podium celebrations, and another championship toast—served, of course, in the cup that started it all.
