IndyCar News: Andretti Global Dominates INDY NXT Practice 2 at Java House GP

Andretti Global asserted early control at the brand-new Arlington street circuit, with Max Taylor topping Practice 2 for the INDY NXT by Firestone Java House Grand Prix of Arlington.

The 18-year-old American driver, piloting the No. 28 Susan G. Komen entry, set the fastest lap of the session at 1m38.8321s, showcasing his quick adaptation to the challenging 14-turn, 2.73-mile temporary layout winding around AT&T Stadium and Globe Life Field.

Taylor’s teammate, Seb Murray, was in second place with a solid 1m39.2967s in the No. 27 Prosperity entry, while another Andretti driver, Lochie Hughes, claimed third with a time of 1m39.3005 in the No. 26 car.

Rookie sensation Tymek Kucharczyk kept the pressure on, posting the fourth-fastest time of 1m39.3016s in the No. 71 HMD Motorsports.

Rounding out the top five was Myles Rowe in the No. 99 Abel Motorsports with Force Indy entry with a time of 1m39.4273s.

Andretti Global’s strong showing continues their momentum from earlier 2026 rounds, with Taylor proving once again to be a front-runner on street courses. With qualifying and the race still ahead, the team looks poised to challenge for pole and victory on this demanding new track.
