UPDATE The final day of the two-day test will be held Wednesday with a revised schedule due to the limited number of laps completed today.

The cars will be on track from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Central Time (local) with a 30-minute lunch break at noon. The session, which will be closed to the public, can be viewed on INDYCAR.com and the INDYCAR Mobile App.

02/11/20 Except for a couple of slow laps, there was no running today at the Circuit of Americas for Day 1 of the IndyCar preseason open test due to cold and rainy conditions.

The good news is that tomorrow promises to be dry and up in the 60s. We have published a lot of interview videos with more still to come, including an end of day press conference with Will Power and Pato O'Ward.

The photo of Colton Herta's car shows the tubing that is being used to provide some cool air into the drivers helmets. Today was not a good test for this part due to the temperatures never getting warmer than 45 degrees.

Here is an AR1.com video of Jack Harvey getting into his car, trying to keep his driving shoes dry.
